Photo Gallery of Special Projects - Boo Tunnel
Between 2006 and 2011 I had the privilege of designing and construction the Boo Tunnel haunted attraction for Potter Park Zoo's annual Halloween-themed fundraiser, "Boo at the Zoo". As you can see from the videos below, the attraction grew more and more complex and in-depth every year, as I worked to build new vignettes and update older ones. When I began the project in 2006, this tunnel as an abandoned train tunnel, formerly used by the zoo to house a miniature train that ran the perimeter of the zoo in the 80's and 90's. Since then, it had been used for storage and some previous attempts at a haunted attraction. We built this project from the ground up, beginning with painting the concrete black, eventually adding permanent electrical services, and more. By 2011, we had installed carpeting and made an ADA accessible attraction.
